EVENT: OKTOBERFEST 2014

The traditional costume parade, or the so called “Trachten- und Schützenzug”, is a part of Oktoberfest, which I wasn’t able to see until this year. I have to say it is worth sparing some time for. It takes place on the second day of Oktoberfest and the route of the parade hasn’t changed for years. It begins at the Maximilianeum and continues to Odeonsplatz, where the ministers of Bavaria are saluted. It ends at the Oktoberfest, Theresienwiese. The parade is being performed since 1835, but it has been a part of Oktoberfest only since 1950.

Although we stood on the street to watch the parade, you can also buy a ticket from the tribunes for 35 Euros.

Bu sene Oktoberfest’e katilmaktan daha cok ilgimi ceken sey Oktoberfest’in ikinci gunu yapilan “Trachten- und Schützenzug” isimli gecit toreniydi. Daha once hic gitme sansim olmamisti. Bu gecit toreninin rotasi senelerdir degismemis: Maximilianeum’dan baslayip Odeonsplatz’dan gecilerek Bayern’in onde gelen yoneticilerine selam veriliyor. Odeonsplatz bu gecitin en onemli noktalarindan bir tanesi. Bitis noktasi ise Oktoberfest’in bulundugu Theresienwiese.
